Delegation Of Bethune Medical Development Association Of Canada Visiting LZUSH

Mr. Lee Edward Errett, president of BMDAC(Bethune Medical Development Association of Canada), and his team visited the Lanzhou University Second Hospital on October 24. President Wang Chen, vice president Bai Feng and directors of HR department, science and technology department, cardiology, urological surgery and E.N.T attended welcome meeting that hosted by vice president Wang Jianqin.

Wang Chen, on behalf of the hospital, extended a warm welcome to the delegation, and introduced in detail the history, discipline construction, teaching and research, international exchanges, personnel training and development of the hospital. He said this visit established a closer relationships that will create learning and teaching opportunities in both countries.

 

Lee Edward Errett introduced the development history and professional background of BMDAC. He said that the communication with Chinese doctors have enriched their medical experience. He hoped through establishing a bridge between the Chinese hospital and the BMDAC, to actively carry out various medical exchange activities, and promote the cooperation and levels of clinical technology of both sides.

At the welcoming meeting, Lee Edward Errett on behalf of the BMDAC presented a picture of Bethune to the hospital, and president Wang Chen reciprocate. After the meeting, experts of urological surgery, E.N.T. and cardiology intervention went to the separate department for three days exchange and guidance.

Medical staff of the LZUSH learned a lot from this visit, spanning advanced medical knowledge, ideas and skills. The visit promoted international exchanges of LZUSH and helped to carry forward the spirit of Dr. Nathan Bethune.

The Bethune Medical Development Association of Canadian, founded in 2010 with over 2 members, is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the spirit of Dr. Nathan Bethune and promoting friendly exchanges between China and Canada. The Association has always been concerned and enthusiastic about the exchanges and cooperation with domestic counterparts in medical, scientific research and teaching, and regularly assigns top-level disciplines. Since 2012, the BMDAC has organized twice a year Canadian medical experts to carry out free diagnosis and academic exchanges in many hospitals in China.
