The Nursing Team Attended The Sigma’s 30th International Nursing Research Congress In Calgary, Canada

The Sigma’s 30th International Nursing Research Congress was held in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, from July 25 to July 29,  sponsored by the Sigma International Honor Society Of Nursing. 2000 nurse researchers, students, clinicians, and leaders from 44 countries attended the conference. Three nurses of LZUSH, Ma Peifen, Ma Yingping, and Wang Xinglei, were invited to attend the meeting.

Dr. Doris Grinspun, CEO of Registered Nurses Association of Ontario, Canada (RNAO), presented on the subject of "Improving Human Outcomes Through Evidence-Based Practice: A Social Movement". The report provided an in-depth look at how the social movements led by nurses around the world focused on knowledge transfer and evidence-based practice are influencing the changes of health care policy and how nursing can truly change the course of disease. Dr. Doris also showed the development and achievements of BPSO. He called on all nursing scholars and nursing leaders to change the mode of nursing with knowledge.

With the theme of “Theory-to-Practice: Catalyzing Collaborations to Connect Globally”, the conference shared knowledge related to nursing research, knowledge transformation and evidence-based practice through theme reports and poster presentations. The nursing team of our hospital extended the poster presentation titled “an interdisciplinary team approach in the implementation of RNAO best practice guidelines in pain management”. Three representative communicated with nursing experts and scholars from all over the world, and introduced in detail the progress of BPSO work of the hospital since the cooperation with RNAO, and  how to formulate localized strategy during the implementation of best practice guidelines combining with Chinese medicine acesodyne and the achievements. The excellent performance of the team was widely praised by the attendance.

This year the hospital has sent nursing delegates four times to participate in the international nursing conferences. communication and learning widen everyone's horizon and enhance their work confidence. It is believed that through the continuous efforts of nursing staff, more fruitful results will be achieved and the strongest voice belonging to our hospital will be heard on the international stage.
